Our
Pen Pals in California
Participating in this exchange
has taught the students how to how to write a friendly letter. It also
provides an opportunity for meaningful practice with a variety of
writing skills. Students have even typed their letters in the computer
lab.
In addition to writing letters, we have exchanged photographs, poems,
and
artwork. This activity also helps the children understand how people in
their own country can be so different, yet also have so much in common
with themselves. It is always so exciting
when we receive their letters in the
mail!
