A Journey Through My World
When I am not in
school teaching, I love to be outdoors.
My favorite place to be is the
Adirondack mountains.
I spend as much time as I possibly can (which isn't much at times) with
my
family.
I also enjoy the solitude of our cabin in the Adirondacks.
Please check out the following links to take a journey through my world.
My Family
My family is
very small if you only count the people. I have my daughter, Rachael,
my parents, and my long-term friend, Joe. I owe so much to my family. I
love my parents for all the support they have given me. Even after
everything I've put them through, they have managed to stay married for
over 40 years, for which I'm very grateful. My family just wouldn't be
complete without the furry, or not so furry, members::
-Clio,
my dog and second
daughter
-Munsee, Annie, Oliver, Sierra, and Addoette
-Mr. Spiky
Needles, 4 hermit crabs, several fish and aquatic frogs
The Cabin
An excellent place to get away for
some R & R
*At this time, this
page takes a long time to load. I will need to make the tough decision
of removing a few pictures. But which ones? I love them all!! Here you
will see some beautiful shots mostly taken in the High Peaks region of
the Adirondacks.
There is something about being on the trail that rejuvenates the soul
and provides a sense of peace offered no where else.
Never
thought I could do it, but I was convinced. I'm very glad I did, what
an unforgettable experience! Being in spaces so tight you had to move
one squirm at a time was challenging, but the spectacular geology
had made it worth every inch.
For one who loves geology, it was an experience that certainly lends
itself well towards becoming a full-fledged hobby.
Other Hobbies and Areas of
Interests
This
page was developed as a means for me to share my love of learning and
discovering new ideas involving all subjects within the field of
geology. Most of my leisure reading includes topics relating to earth
science. I'm fascinated with observing the world around me and
attempting to understand its formation. Many vacations and day trips have involved
searching for some particular fossil or view of a revealing
outcrop.
Just
simply a place for me to "speak for those who can't speak for
themselves."
